‘The Kill Floor’ was inspired by true events. Writer, Producer, Director Carlos Avila was inspired to write the screenplay after carefully researching the events and interviewing people with firsthand experiences related to the events in meatpacking plants. Included in those interviews were meatpacking plant workers, union representatives, activists and journalists.
