Florida and Michigan Primary Voting AGAIN?

Breaking News, Politics No Comments »

howard dean

I knew this was coming - The Voters in Florida and Michigan will most likey help in deciding who the Democratic Nominee will be for the Presidental Election this year. Come on, I have severe “Primary Fatigue” I don’t know how much more I can take of the Democrats. I live in Florida, so you know it will get all f*cked up again. We’ll have several re-counts and lawyers suing for more re-counts unless Hillary wins it fair and square. She is soooo Tracy Flick.

I just read this on The Huffington Post

WASHINGTON — Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean urged Florida and Michigan party officials to come up with plans to repeat their presidential nominating contests so that their delegates can be counted.

“All they have to do is come before us with rules that fit into what they agreed to a year and a half ago, and then they’ll be seated,” Dean said during a round of interviews Thursday on network and cable TV news programs.

The two state parties will have to find the funds to pay for new contests without help from the national party, Dean said.

“We can’t afford to do that. That’s not our problem. We need our money to win the presidential race,” he said.

Officials in Michigan and Florida are showing renewed interest in holding repeat presidential nominating contests so that their votes will count in the epic Democratic campaign.

The Michigan governor, top officials in Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign, and Florida’s state party chair all are now saying they would consider holding a sort of do-over contest by June. That’s a change from the previous insistence from officials in both states that the primaries they held in January should determine how their delegates are allocated.

Clinton campaign communications director Howard Wolfson said in a conference call with reporters Thursday that it’s hard to envision a scenario where the Florida and Michigan delegations are not seated at the conventions.

That would send a “very unsettling signal to the people of those states,” Wolfson said.

Asked whether the campaign favored a caucus over a primary if the states had a do-over, he said it would be premature to comment on any particular one at this point.

Clinton won both contests, but the results were meaningless because the elections violated national party rules.

“We believe that vote ought to count,” Wolfson said.

The Democratic National Committee stripped both states of all delegates for holding the primaries too early, and all Democratic candidates _ including Clinton and rival Barack Obama _ agreed not to campaign in either state. Obama’s name wasn’t even on the Michigan ballot.

Florida and Michigan moved up their dates to protest the party’s decision to allow Iowa and New Hampshire to go first, followed by South Carolina and Nevada, giving them a disproportionate influence on the presidential selection process.

But no one predicted the race would still be very close at this point in the year.

“The rules were set a year and a half ago,” Dean said. “Florida and Michigan voted for them, then decided that they didn’t need to abide by the rules. Well, when you are in a contest you do need to abide by the rules. Everybody has to play by the rules out of respect for both campaigns and the other 48 states.”

My Beloved Amy Has Rotting Flesh

Amy's best look

“Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo which she’s been told can be highly contagious. Because of that she’s been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days.”

YUCK.

But the British newspaper The Sun is saying otherwise under the headline: WINO STUBBED OUT CIG ON FACE

“I CAN reveal the reason why AMY WINEHOUSE has had an ugly mark on her face these last few days — the loopy star stubbed out a ciggie on her cheek. The gross piece of self-harming came in front of stunned diners in a London restaurant. The troubled star was with pals when she was asked THREE TIMES by staff to put out her Marlboro Light because of the smoking ban. As she received her final warning, Amy stared straight into the waitress’s eyes and pushed the burning tip of the fag into her own face. A source at the diner said: “She hardly flinched because she was so high. The whole place was open-mouthed in horror.” Amy tried to conceal the wound with foundation — but it has now apparently become infected, causing the swelling on her cheek. The source added: “She was so out of it that she didn’t feel the pain — everyone else looked completely stunned. “The waitress covered her mouth in shock and just walked off to tell the manager. It was a shocking sight.” Amy’s spokesperson said at the weekend that the singer was suffering from impetigo, explaining the rash on her left cheek. When Wino was in Paris on Friday she joked with the crowd at the Fendi fashion show that she had mumps. But the real reason for the mark on her face is the cigarette incident — once again highlighting Amy’s self-harm problems.”

Stay away from Wino because that shit is contagious. Remember Michelle from America’s Next Top Model Cycle 4? She had the same rottening flesh eating bateria on her face. Amy should take care of herself and stop sharing her crack pipe with fellow junkies like Pete Doherty.

Good news for my favorite Wino - She was paid a cool $1 million to perform during Paris Fashion Week for the opening of the Fendi store. She played for 40 minutes to a crowd of 600 including: Jessica Alba, Kanye West, Rihanna, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Sofia Coppola, Milla Jovovich and Jade Jagger. I hope there was only “air kisses” flying around her beehive that night.

No More Dirty Dancing?

Dirty Dancing

According to People.com:

Patrick Swayze, who starred in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, his doctor says.

“Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far,” Dr. George Fisher says in a statement. “All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.” The actor’s rep adds: “Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”

I am really sad about this news. I loved him in Dirty Dancing, Ghost but his best work by far, was as a hot ass tranny in 1995’s To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything. He did much better in drag than Travolta in Hairspray, for damn sure. It’s time to start listening to “She’s like the Wind” and light a candle. I can’t stop hearing, “NO BODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER” - So sad.

Clinton-Obama Fatigue

Hillary Clinton and Obama SUCK

I am suffering from a horrendous case of political fatigue. I have watched every Democratic and Republican primary. I have listened to more hours of political pundits talk about politics than my husband. I have read almost all the candidates websites and then my new addiction was reading every blog about the primaries. Instead of giving into my addiction, this is my opinion of what I was able to filter from my dirty habit.

Since the Republican nomination is in the long arms of Senator McCain now that is one less race to care about. Not that I really did care because they talk too much about religion. I think a lot of people that think religion and politics go hand in hand; need a refresher course in the American Constitution 101.

But, seriously, WTF is going on with Hillary Clinton’s campaign? I think it’s great that she won Ohio, Rhode Island and Texas this past Tuesday night but she still doesn’t have the delegates to make-up the huge success that the Obama campaign has been enjoying since his 11 straight wins. Call me crazy, but I thought you had to have 2025 delegates and/or super delegates to win the Democratic nomination? Score now: Obama 1520 and Hilly 1424 - very close but he is still around 600,000 ahead of her in the popular vote also. From all projections, Obama could lose the rest of the primaries taking place until June and still beat Hilly once the Super delegates he wins from those upcoming states jump to his side.

Is Hilly that desperate since she won 3 states, to now say she “won” Florida and Michigan to catch up to Obama’s delegate lead? I believe the answer is yes. If, Bill Clinton has anything to do with it - he loves dirty politics and he is a smooth talker. After watching Hillary on every morning show yesterday “proclaiming victory” she reminded me of Reese Witherspoon’s character Tracy Flick from the movie Election. I wish Hillary didn’t come across that she deserves the Democratic Nomination because of all her years in Washington but that she earned it. I would have more respect for her as a woman. Oh and by the way-

Dear Hillary,
LEAVE BILL! It would be the smartest move you ever made in your life personally and politically.
xoxo

The News of the World is reporting that Prince 49, is to have secret Hip Replacement Surgery from “sexy dancing”.

Say whaaaaaaaaat? Will he ever be able to do the “Darling Nikki” dry hump dance that he did in Purple Rain ever again? If this rumor (yes, rumor because that means I am getting old) I will believe it if he never shakes his love maker again. If this is true, Prince, I will send you flowers to Paisley Park.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry has returned to the UK after being withdrawn 10 weeks into a front-line deployment in Afghanistan. The prince also said he would relish another front-line posting. “It’s something I would love to do,” said the third-in-line to the throne. “I don’t want to sit around Windsor, because I generally don’t like England that much and it’s nice to be away from all the press and the papers.” Prince Harry was sent secretly to Afghanistan in December but was ordered out of the country by defence chiefs on Friday.

Now I can sleep better at night knowing the “spare” to Prince William is now back in England living his privlaged life. Actually, I admire his courage but the jackasses that leaked the story to the world press should have thought of the dangerous consequences of Prince Ginger and security of those around him. His mother would have been proud.
