Reason #534 Why The Right-Wing Is Flawed

On MSNBC’s Hardball Thursday night, right-wing radio host Kevin James attempted to defend President Bush’s comments comparing Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) to Nazi appeasers because he favors talking with our enemies. James compared Obama to Neville Chamberlain, about whom James could only cry: “He’s an appeaser!” Chris Matthews pressed James at least 24 times over five minutes to simply explain what Chamberlain had done in 1938 and 1939 to make him an “appeaser.” James could only shout his talking point over and over, prompting Matthews to threaten to end the interview. Loved it! Watch Chris Matthews school Kevin James below, it is excellent.

Edwards Endorses Obama - Where Is Hillary Now?

Obama Edwards

The good news this week is Hillary Clinton being cock-slapped by both Barack Obama and John Edwards in Michigan Wednesday night. ONE-TWO . . . PUNCH!! The Edwards endorsement was perfect down to the timing all but wipping out Hillary’s media coverage of her big win in West Virginia on Tuesday night. That move on Obama’s part was a “check-mate” to Hillary and since then we haven’t heard much out of her or Terry Macauliffe since Wednesday. Terry Macauliffe was more entertaining than his candidate but anyway . . . Below is John Edwards endorsing Barack Obama for President and just being all around sexy on Wednesday, May 14th.

Chris Matthews Best Laugh, Bad ‘Do

Chris Matthews

I absolutely love Chris Matthews laugh. Trying to describe his laugh with words doesn’t give it the proper flavor it deserves. I watch his show Hardball on MSNBC almost every night hoping to hear that impulsive genuine HAH! laugh. His laugh I will always love however when I tuned in last night I was shocked in HORROR. He dyed his hair! TOO MANY SHADES OF AUBURN!!! His hair looked like he was wearing a beat-down-Britney-weave-dead cat-MESS. I know, what was he thinking? Did he really think that no one would notice? HAH! I noticed and so did the Huffington Post, Politico and numerous other Democratic blogs had posted the before and after screen shots. Chrissy (that is how I like to affectionately refer to him) has been known to trail off politics into making fashion comments on what others are wearing like he is a Miss America judge. The idea of him coloring his hair is not what frightened me but that someone, maybe him thought it looked good. HAH!

Let us listen to Chrissy’s laugh as we laugh at his new bad ass ‘do!

This morning I was reading the Huffington Post and main headline was “Media Jump Ship from Obama to Clinton” with the logos of Time, The Washington Post and The New York Times all on board. First, this pissed me off because I am an Obama supporter and secondly how blind is everyone not to see how the media is clearly manipulating the Democratic primaries? I understand that it’s good business to keep the drama going between the two but all signs are pointing to this getting very messy. From what I understand, Obama has the lead with the most delegates and the only way for Hillary to catch up is beating him in the remaining states by about 60%. That is a large request to fulfill. It seems that Obama has bled her money-well dry and there are reports that her campaign is $5 million in debt. If I could ask Hillary Clinton one question if she wins or loses would be, was it really worth lying and going negative to serve the American people and in the process trying to destroy Obama’s political career? Hillary, please bow out gracefully because as each day passes, John McCain looks like he’s getting younger and more attractive to voters.

Florida and Michigan Primary Voting AGAIN?

Breaking News, Politics No Comments »

howard dean

I knew this was coming - The Voters in Florida and Michigan will most likey help in deciding who the Democratic Nominee will be for the Presidental Election this year. Come on, I have severe “Primary Fatigue” I don’t know how much more I can take of the Democrats. I live in Florida, so you know it will get all f*cked up again. We’ll have several re-counts and lawyers suing for more re-counts unless Hillary wins it fair and square. She is soooo Tracy Flick.

I just read this on The Huffington Post

WASHINGTON — Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean urged Florida and Michigan party officials to come up with plans to repeat their presidential nominating contests so that their delegates can be counted.

“All they have to do is come before us with rules that fit into what they agreed to a year and a half ago, and then they’ll be seated,” Dean said during a round of interviews Thursday on network and cable TV news programs.

The two state parties will have to find the funds to pay for new contests without help from the national party, Dean said.

“We can’t afford to do that. That’s not our problem. We need our money to win the presidential race,” he said.

Officials in Michigan and Florida are showing renewed interest in holding repeat presidential nominating contests so that their votes will count in the epic Democratic campaign.

The Michigan governor, top officials in Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign, and Florida’s state party chair all are now saying they would consider holding a sort of do-over contest by June. That’s a change from the previous insistence from officials in both states that the primaries they held in January should determine how their delegates are allocated.

Clinton campaign communications director Howard Wolfson said in a conference call with reporters Thursday that it’s hard to envision a scenario where the Florida and Michigan delegations are not seated at the conventions.

That would send a “very unsettling signal to the people of those states,” Wolfson said.

Asked whether the campaign favored a caucus over a primary if the states had a do-over, he said it would be premature to comment on any particular one at this point.

Clinton won both contests, but the results were meaningless because the elections violated national party rules.

“We believe that vote ought to count,” Wolfson said.

The Democratic National Committee stripped both states of all delegates for holding the primaries too early, and all Democratic candidates _ including Clinton and rival Barack Obama _ agreed not to campaign in either state. Obama’s name wasn’t even on the Michigan ballot.

Florida and Michigan moved up their dates to protest the party’s decision to allow Iowa and New Hampshire to go first, followed by South Carolina and Nevada, giving them a disproportionate influence on the presidential selection process.

But no one predicted the race would still be very close at this point in the year.

“The rules were set a year and a half ago,” Dean said. “Florida and Michigan voted for them, then decided that they didn’t need to abide by the rules. Well, when you are in a contest you do need to abide by the rules. Everybody has to play by the rules out of respect for both campaigns and the other 48 states.”
