Give It 2 Me

I know this is TMI (too much information) but when I can’t help hearing, Madonna’s new song “Give It 2 Me” when I have sexay times with my honey. I know, I KNOW it Vadge singing the song but it is so damn catchy. And during those moments of pure excitment and foreplay fun, my brain starts replaying the song lyrics, “Don’t stop me now, don’t need to catch my breath, I can go on and on and on, When the lights go down and there’s no one left, I can go on and on and on” . . . Grrr. I know she is approaching 50 fassst, but she is still making catchy sexay time music that is good. Just don’t think about her and her crypt keeper hands.

The Beat Goes On

Speaking of Madonna . . . I have been listening to her new album “Hard Candy” on my iPod while I detox my body with exercise. At first, I thought it was just OK with great beats by Pharrell and Timberland who out shined Madonna on her own album. The song “The Beat Goes On” featuring Kanye West is the best song on the entire album with Candy Store following close behind.

Falling Down by Scarlett Johansson

Music, Pop Culture No Comments »

Scarlett Johansson’s inspired Atco Records debut album ANYWHERE I LAY MY HEAD features her distinctive interpretations of ten songs by Tom Waits plus one original selection, “Song For Jo.” Johansson co-wrote the track with TV On The Radio’s David Andrew Sitek, who produced the album and lends his multi-instrumental talents throughout as well. She is also joined by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, Sean Antanaitis from Celebration and others.

The album’s title track comes from Waits’ acclaimed 1985 album Rain Dogs. Johansson also selected cuts from Alice, Swordfishtrombones, Big Time, Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards, Real Gone, Small Change and Bone Machine. Johansson spent five weeks in spring 2007 recording ANYWHERE I LAY MY HEAD at Dockside Studios in Maurice, Lousiana, in the heart of Cajun country.

When I first heard this song, I didn’t like it. After listening to “Falling Down” live, her and the song are starting to grow on me. However, I won’t be typing my fingers to iTunes to buy it any time soon.

Video “The Beast Within”

We dedicate the entire day to Madonna. After 25 years of music and controversy, tonight has to be one of the best moments of her life. I grew up listening to her Madgesty and the hardest question is what is my favorite Madonna song? ALL? I like that answer best.

Tune in to watch Madonna (and some other talented muscians) get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tonight at 8:30 on VH1 Classic.

. . . Spring Forward Common People!

I can not wake up this morning. Listening to Pulp’s “Common People”, I was reminded that I just need to sing along with the Common People because it will get me through all the stupid things I do, like losing an hour of sleep. I have a lot in common with the Common People since all they like to do is dance, drink and screw because there nothing else to do. Thank you Pulp, you’re Like a Friend.

madonna

Samesame.com - To help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, last month they asked their readers to vote for what songs out of the vast catalogue of musical history they think deserve to be called camp classics.

The Top 10 are the following:
10. Alicia Bridges “I Love The Nightlife”
9. Madonna “Vogue”
8. Olivia Netwon-John “Xanadu”
7. Kylie Minogue “Better The Devil You Know”
6. Pet Shop Boys “Go West”
5. Kylie Minogue “Your Disco Needs You”
4. The Weathergirls “It’s Raining Men”
3. Gloria Gaynor “I Will Survive”
2. Village People “YMCA”
1. ABBA “Dancing Queen”

Just so you know, Madonna also came in at #29 for “Express Yourself”. Awesome, I love Madonna and I still don’t want her to Lick the Queen. Her new album titled Hard Candy will be out April 29th. Mark your fucking calendars, bitches!!

My Beloved Amy Has Rotting Flesh

Amy's best look

“Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo which she’s been told can be highly contagious. Because of that she’s been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days.”

YUCK.

But the British newspaper The Sun is saying otherwise under the headline: WINO STUBBED OUT CIG ON FACE

“I CAN reveal the reason why AMY WINEHOUSE has had an ugly mark on her face these last few days — the loopy star stubbed out a ciggie on her cheek. The gross piece of self-harming came in front of stunned diners in a London restaurant. The troubled star was with pals when she was asked THREE TIMES by staff to put out her Marlboro Light because of the smoking ban. As she received her final warning, Amy stared straight into the waitress’s eyes and pushed the burning tip of the fag into her own face. A source at the diner said: “She hardly flinched because she was so high. The whole place was open-mouthed in horror.” Amy tried to conceal the wound with foundation — but it has now apparently become infected, causing the swelling on her cheek. The source added: “She was so out of it that she didn’t feel the pain — everyone else looked completely stunned. “The waitress covered her mouth in shock and just walked off to tell the manager. It was a shocking sight.” Amy’s spokesperson said at the weekend that the singer was suffering from impetigo, explaining the rash on her left cheek. When Wino was in Paris on Friday she joked with the crowd at the Fendi fashion show that she had mumps. But the real reason for the mark on her face is the cigarette incident — once again highlighting Amy’s self-harm problems.”

Stay away from Wino because that shit is contagious. Remember Michelle from America’s Next Top Model Cycle 4? She had the same rottening flesh eating bateria on her face. Amy should take care of herself and stop sharing her crack pipe with fellow junkies like Pete Doherty.

Good news for my favorite Wino - She was paid a cool $1 million to perform during Paris Fashion Week for the opening of the Fendi store. She played for 40 minutes to a crowd of 600 including: Jessica Alba, Kanye West, Rihanna, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Sofia Coppola, Milla Jovovich and Jade Jagger. I hope there was only “air kisses” flying around her beehive that night.
